HookPoint is the easiest way to go fishing. Open the app. See whether you should go fishing today, where to go, and what to bring. Catch something, snap a photo, and find out what it is. That's the whole product. Built for the 65% of fishermen who fish from shore to beginners, returners, families, and anyone who has ever found the other apps overwhelming or overpriced. No dashboards. No social feed. No tribal gear-catalog vibes. Just a thoughtful fishing companion that tells you what you need to know, in plain English. WHAT YOU GET • Go/No-Go today — a single, honest verdict (Excellent / Good / Fair / Skip / We're not sure), with two-sentence reasoning grounded in weather, pressure, solunar, and water temperature. • Best window — the hours that will actually produce, not a generic sunrise/sunset chart. • Top spots nearby — shore-first by default. Walk-in access, parking info, and species mix shown up front. • AI Fish ID — point your camera, get the species, habitat, typical size, and whether it's legal to keep in your state. Plain-English confidence — never a fake 100%. • Private catch log — your catches, your photos, your notes. Not a social feed. Not a leaderboard. Just a memory book you can export or share through the iOS share sheet. • Ask HookPoint — an AI chat that actually knows your spot, your species, and your state's rules. • Weather, tide, and solunar — woven into every answer, not buried in a sub-menu. PRIVACY-FIRST No third-party analytics. No social login. No tracking SDKs. Your catch log is private by default. We strip EXIF data before any share. Apple's own App Analytics is the only telemetry we use. OFFLINE-READY Catch log writes locally and syncs when you're back online. Last-viewed spots, regulations, and weather cache for dead-zone rivers and country roads. HOW PRICING WORKS HookPoint is a paid app. Every new install gets a 7-day free trial with everything unlocked. No card required to start. After the trial, pick the plan that fits: • Weekly — $3.99 • Monthly — $4.99 • Yearly — $34.99 (42% below the monthly rate) Cancel anytime in Settings > Subscriptions. No lifetime purchase. No ads. No feature lock-outs inside the subscription. WHY WE BUILT THIS We built HookPoint for a nephew in Little Rock who fishes from shore with a tackle box and a license, a couple of times a month. He wanted a friendlier, smarter, cheaper version of the apps that exist today. So we made one. It turns out a lot of people want the same thing. ACCESSIBILITY Full VoiceOver support. Dynamic Type up to Accessibility 5. Reduce Motion respected throughout. High-contrast palette designed for midday sun and pre-dawn low light. A WORD ON ACCURACY Regulations can change faster than any app can track them. HookPoint cites its sources and links you back to the official state agency on every regulatory screen. Please always verify with your state agency before you fish. HookPoint is an independent app. Not affiliated with any state agency or tackle brand.
