This communication is from a few people from different organizations and different countries who know each other, who came together intent on doing something to try to help create a real change in the world. We have no ownership of this initiative, just stewardship, and we are reaching out to high-minded organizations and thought leaders who people listen to in order to create this echo of smaller meditation projects, and even large smaller projects, as a grandaddy of them all. This is a planetwide initiative to spend a minute every day focusing on kindness. Inspired by the Silent Minute in Britain during WW2, we look forward to millions if not billions of people participating at 6:00 pm in every time zone. Scientific studies on the power of thought to affect the material world are already convincing enough for distant healing to be taught in medical schools. And, if our effort results in kindness welling up in the world we’ll be providing evidence of the power of collective thought so that it can be employed to achieve other ends. And, of course, we will be contributing to current efforts for science to recognize the existence of non-material reality. Since kindness is love-in-action and love is the greatest unifying power, in creating a kinder world we make it a more loving world. This is the visionary goal, where millions of people uniting their minds and hearts, acting in concert, will already be a step in that direction.
