Catch Register vs HORGÁSZ

CATCH REGISTER is more than just a simple fishing logbook. It is your digital assistant on the waterfront, taking the burden of administration off your shoulders so you can focus entirely on fishing. NEW: A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED INTERFACE Every screen has been redesigned into one consistent style – with polished light and dark themes, a bottom navigation bar, and built-in tutorials: an info button in the header explains what each screen is for. WHY CHOOSE CATCH REGISTER? • INTELLIGENT SESSIONS: Organize your fishing adventures with modern session sheets, including the specific gear and baits used during each trip. • DASHBOARD: Track your statistics with visual charts. Instantly see your most successful baits, top locations, and bite trends. • BAIT BAG: Organize your gear by manufacturer, flavor, and size. Record complex bait presentations and discover the most effective combinations for your target fish. • AUTOMATIC DATA: Record GPS coordinates, wind direction, air pressure, and moon phases with a single tap at the exact moment of your catch. • FEATURED CATCHES: Submit your best catches for the community showcase and follow the status of every submission. • DATA IMPORT (XLSX): Import your catches from an Excel file! Template download, real-time status tracking, and detailed error handling. • GOOGLE & APPLE SIGN-IN: Log in with Google or Apple ID alongside the classic email/password option. WITH A PRO SUBSCRIPTION • CLOUD PHOTO STORAGE: Your catch photos are stored in the cloud, so they survive a change of device – and existing photos can be uploaded in bulk. • WEATHER BACKFILL: Catches logged without weather can be filled in retroactively; processing runs in the background and notifies you when it is done. DETAILED FUNCTIONS AND USAGE: In Catch Register, you can record single or multi-day fishing sessions. The session summary page gives you an instant overview of the most important data: total number of fish caught, total weight, average weight, and the session's biggest fish. You can record an unlimited number of catches for every session. With the Bait Bag, you can attach multiple different baits to a single catch, allowing you to accurately log complex setups (e.g., snowman rigs). In addition to attaching photos, you can mark your most memorable catches as favorites and browse your lifelong records by weight on the PERSONAL BESTS screen. INTEGRATION AND PRECISION: Tap the location icon to save precise GPS coordinates. These coordinates are inherited by all catches created within that session, but if you are on the move (e.g., stalking or lure fishing), you can update the position for each individual catch. If the location was missed, you can add it later by tapping the map – for sessions and for catches alike. Thanks to Google Maps integration, you can display your stored locations at any time. With the updated fishing calendar featuring moon phase indicators and Record Cards visible directly in the monthly view, tracking your success has never been easier. Use the Master Data section to manage your baits and fishing spots with a modern, card-style interface!
