I wrote this app to help me get home before dark while riding my bicycle. You can see at a glance how much time until sunset, and set notifications for when you are running out of sunlight. Your loved ones will no longer worry or complain. Then I added everything solar but the kitchen sink, just for fun. Not only for your current location, you can monitor sunrise, noon, and sunset anywhere on Earth. You can compare locations, make movies, and generate reports comparing a location you select to places around the globe. Check the distance to your location, the Equator, and the North or South Pole from anywhere on Earth. Quick and easy for its headline purpose, but enough detail to satisfy almost any nerd. Most of the USA is far enough north to have little sunlight in mid-winter, rapid changes in the amount of sunlight in spring and fall, and a glorious abundance in summer. You need this app to keep on top of all that.
Rain Tracker

Rain Tracker is a simple app to privately log the rain that shows up in your rain gauge. Just enter your rain gauge measurements and watch it add up your monthly and yearly rainfall amounts to show the rain trends affecting your location. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no separate accounts to manage. Your readings stay on your device and sync through your iCloud account. All measurements are recorded manually, this app does not sync or integrate with any rainfall data provider. QUICKLY LOG RAIN MEASUREMENTS • Enter the rain amount (in inches or millimeters) and you're done • Optionally add the time of day (overnight, morning, afternoon, or evening) to a measurement to remember when the rain fell that day • Adjust the day when adding a measurment to log previous rainfall • Edit or delete any past measurements VIEW YOUR RAIN TOTALS • View your monthly and yearly totals at-a-glance on the main screen • Use the Calendar view to see rainfall from past months, the days it rained and other stats from the month • Track yearly rain amounts on the Statistics view, as well as month-over-month trends and yearly stats BUILT FOR APPLE PLATFORMS • Offers multiple widgets, including a widget to log a measurement, widgets showing rainfall totals for the current day/month/year, and a calendar widget showing the current month's rainfall by day • Control Center widget to log rainfall (also available from the Lock Screen) • Use Shortcuts to quickly log a measurement with Siri, or build larger automations in the Shortcuts app SIMPLE, PRIVATE, AND FREE • Simple by design - no integrations to third-party services • Data is synced privately through iCloud, no separate account needed • Options to export or import your data, and delete all measurements whenever you want • No subscriptions or paywalled features - but if you find this app useful and want to support continued development, an optional tip jar is available
