About

Recall Alert

Features

Recall Alert looks up recalls published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for the vehicles you save, by model year, make and model. What it does - Save several vehicles by VIN (decoded to year, make and model) or pick them manually - See the NHTSA recalls returned for each model, with summary, consequence and remedy - Shows NHTSA's "Do not drive" and "Park outside" flags when a recall includes them - Mark recalls you have had fixed, and keep a history of your checks - Re-checks your saved vehicles when you open the app, and can notify you when a new recall ID appears (with notification permission) - Share a recall report; no account, no ads Important - Independent app, not affiliated with NHTSA or the U.S. government. - Results are for model year, make and model. They do not tell you whether your specific vehicle (VIN) has an unrepaired recall. Use "Check VIN on NHTSA" in the app for that. - No recalls returned does not mean your vehicle is safe. If a check fails, the app says the status is unknown. - Checks run only while you use the app.
