Decibella 2: Sound Level Meter & Decibel Meter Explore the sounds around you with Decibella 2, a portable noise meter and sound analyzer for your phone or tablet. Measure everyday sound levels in decibels (dB), follow changes over time, and compare low, mid and high frequencies in one easy-to-use app. At home, in an office, library, café or on public transport, turn curiosity about your acoustic environment into clear visual information. REAL-TIME SOUND MEASUREMENT Tap the microphone button to start. Watch the animated meter, current dB value, average (AVG) and maximum (MAX). The average accounts for sound energy and measurement duration to summarize your session. TIME AND FREQUENCY GRAPHS Use dB/Time to follow sound-level changes. Switch to dB/Freq to explore 11 frequency bands labeled from 32 Hz to 20 kHz, including separate 15K and 20K bands. Live bars show the current spectrum, while gray markers show retained band maxima. The measurable range depends on your device's microphone. SOUND GUIDE Relate measured levels to familiar everyday sounds. Clear examples, readable text and a highlighted row help you understand the approximate meaning of a noise level. UP TO 100 MEASUREMENT RECORDS Review session duration, maximum and average dB in Records, with dates and times shown in your current language and regional format. Eligible sessions lasting at least one second are saved when measurement stops. Keep the latest 100 records; each new record beyond the limit automatically replaces the oldest. MICROPHONE CALIBRATION Adjust the dB offset from -20.0 to +20.0 in 0.1 dB steps. Fine-tune readings against a suitable reference meter. Permission and measurement-start errors are explained on the calibration screen. MADE FOR PHONES AND TABLETS Responsive cards, graphs, text and controls adapt to the screen. Choose a light or dark theme and use the app in English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French or Spanish. A PLAYFUL VIEW OF SOUND Watch a small rocket respond to sound and travel toward the moon. It adds a visual touch to everyday sound exploration. ACCESS AND MEASUREMENT NOTES Basic measurement sessions are limited to 30 seconds. Earning a reward by watching a video ad unlocks longer measurements, Sound Guide and record saving/viewing for two hours. An internet connection and an available ad are required for this access. Measurement requires microphone permission and runs while the app is active; leaving the app or locking the screen stops it. Decibella 2 is for everyday reference and entertainment. Readings vary with the microphone, device and calibration. It does not replace certified professional or industrial sound-level equipment. Download Decibella 2 and explore everyday sound with a pocket-sized decibel meter. Made with love in Canada.
