Debt Tracker helps you manage personal debts, keep track of money owed, and always know how much you owe. If you need a practical debt manager without unnecessary complexity, this app gives you a clear place to record amounts, follow payments, and review everything in one place. You can create personal debts in multiple currencies and assign them to contacts created inside the app. If you want, you can also sync those contacts with your device address book to import their name and photo, always as an optional feature. This makes it easier to keep everything organized and adapt the app to the way you already work. Key features: - Manage personal debts in multiple currencies - Use a debt manager and payment tracker for every debt - Add partial payments and record multiple payments for the same debt - Check balances by contact and see a global balance - Filter, search, and sort your debt history the way you prefer - Add due dates and set reminders before each payment - Create backups, import data, and export your information whenever you need - Offline app, no account, and your data always under your control > Real payment tracking and up-to-date balances: Each debt can include multiple payments. You can add partial payments as many times as you need and always see how much has been paid and how much is still pending. When the total of all payments reaches the full amount, the debt is automatically marked as paid. This kind of debt tracking is much more useful than a static list, because it reflects the real state of every debt. > Two ways to review your information: Most people start with the contacts view because it is the fastest way to review debts, answer "who owes me?", and see who you owe. You can quickly review each contact balance and the overall balance at the top of the screen. You also get a dedicated debts tab with search, history, and advanced filters. There you can see all debts, only pending debts, only money owed to you, or only what you owe. You can also change the sorting to review recent changes, amounts, or other criteria. If you want more control, this debt manager gives you that extra level of detail and works as a practical debts monitor. > Due dates and reminders: One of the most useful parts of the app is its due date management. You can add a due date to each debt, see how much time is left, and configure reminders in advance. That way, the app not only stores your records, but also helps you stay ahead of upcoming payments. > Privacy, backups, and exports: This app works with a local database. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly decide to take it out yourself, for example through a database export, a CSV export, a clipboard copy, and more. You can also create backups and import your information whenever you need. If you want a private offline app with no account, you stay in control at all times. > Built for specific searches too: If you are looking for a simple way to keep money owed, payments, and balances organized, Debt Tracker gives you a practical solution for everyday use. It is especially useful when your questions are "who owes me?", "what do I owe?", and how each debt changes over time. In short, this app combines debt records, payment tracking, due dates, reminders, and data export in one place. It works as a debt tracker for anyone who asks "who owes me?" and wants more clarity, more control, and a reliable way to manage debts every day.

Stack is the fastest debt management app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. It enables you to categorize money you are owed and money you owe, and conveniently track and manage your finances across multiple devices. Stack offers the following features: • Spaces: Create multiple Spaces to categorize your debt. For example, you can create a Space for each friend who owes you money. • Add Entries: Add an entry to a Space with one tap. Give each entry a name, quantity, and value. Use a positive value for money you are owed and a negative value for money you owe. Entries in Spaces can be sorted by date, value, or name. • Remove Debt: Removing debt is also straightforward. Tap on the circle on the left side of a debt entry to remove it. If you accidentally removed an entry, you can restore it later, similar to the Reminders app. • Share Debt: You can choose to share the debt of a Space, which generates a list of all debt and the total sum. You can choose if you want to include entries previously marked as complete, and you can choose to include the date of the entry. The date can also be edited. • Value Calculator: You can use the integrated calculator to perform complex calculations and then transfer them directly to the value field. • Split Sum: With this feature, sharing expenses is easy. Just choose the number of parts you want to split a Space's total into, and Stack will automatically calculate the amount of each part. • App Lock: Stack offers Face ID or Touch ID to lock the app, ensuring that only you can access it. • Apple Watch App: You can view, edit, and add new entries on your Apple Watch. No connection to your iPhone is required. • iCloud Sync: All your data is synced between your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. • Privacy: Your data is stored only on your device and in iCloud. The app does not collect any user data, and the developer has no access to it. • Text Field Sizes: You can adjust the name field and the value field sizes to your preference.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Debt Tracker at 4.8 against Stack's 4.3. Debt Tracker also leads on ratings volume (61 vs 6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Stack's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Debt Tracker sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Debt Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Debt Tracker has 61 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Debt Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Debt Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Stack every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 13, 2026 and September 11, 2026 respectively.
