The instant feedback I get from the app helps me to be more active and motivated.** **Not only has it helped me to get rid of my phone addiction, it has inspired me to start 3 new daily habits! Thanks Lemio.** OUR FEATURES Focus on: - Saving you time - Being in control of your life - Starting doing what you've been putting off We all struggle with our smartphone addiction. Lemio stops you in the moments of unconscious, impulsive and compulsive phone use and transitions you from mindless doomscrolling to useful & healthy habits. Time limit per session - Each app should be used with intention, but at the same time remain easily accessible. That is why Lemio forces you to choose a session time for each entry. Your brain will learn that this choice has consequences, because Lemio will kick you out of the app when your session time is up. No more doomscrolling - When your session time ends, we will lock the distracting app again and bring you back to reality in case you got distracted and sucked in. Neuroscientific Breathing - There is a way to de-stress and calm your brain in a matter of seconds. It's called the physiological sigh, a breathing exercise based on the science of how crying babies calm down. We introduce it every time we detect abusive behavior. The Attention Masterclass - Attention is both a skill and a mental resource. It allows us to navigate life efficiently, learn, build relationships, and have successful careers. It can be trained, and Lemio teaches you how. WHY LEMIO IS NEEDED There are several reasons for this: Focus and attention span are constantly decreasing: Attention span has dropped from 12 seconds (2000) to 8.25 seconds (2021), below the level of a goldfish. Studies also show that humans need about 20 minutes for deep focus, while the average phone pickup time for GenY and younger is about every 7 minutes. Phone procrastination is real: Research shows that 32% of screen time during work hours and 57% at home is completely unintentional procrastination. Smartphone addiction is a disease: Excessive smartphone use has been linked to impaired cognitive function and mental health issues such as stress, depression, and self-harm. Lemio is on a mission to stop all of this. We increase your productivity, help you overcome phone distractions, and take back control. At the same time, Lemio is a place for inspiration, motivation, accountability, and social interaction with like-minded people. We want to teach you useful and healthy habits and prove that science and biohacking can be fun! Our mission is complete when Lemio becomes your place for personal development, growth, goal setting and goal achievement. Our dream is to change the way people think & live. Our vision is that people will only pick up their phones when they have a good reason to do so. At the same time, we want to help people accelerate in life by building know-how, identity and real-life relationships with the phone as an enabler, not a time parasite.
