Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dynamic Timer at 100% against Timer's 50%. Dynamic Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown). Timer's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (29 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dynamic Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dynamic Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Timer ships an update fortnightly, Dynamic Timer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
