Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Anker Power at none against Comet's 3. Anker Power also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Comet's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Comet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Anker Power asks for nothing beyond the download.
Comet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comet has 7.8K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Anker Power's written reviews are positive against 65% of Comet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Anker Power ships an update every 2 weeks, Comet every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
