The clearest difference is rating: WLED Pro at 4.3 against ESP's 1.0. WLED Pro also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1). ESP's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WLED Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. ESP asks for nothing beyond the download.
WLED Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WLED Pro has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
