Verdict
Mindgrasp and YouLearn both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of YouLearn's written reviews are positive against 31% of Mindgrasp's. YouLearn also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). Mindgrasp's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 137). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Mindgrasp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and YouLearn sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Mindgrasp against 4.8 for YouLearn. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mindgrasp has 1.1K ratings behind it against 137, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of Mindgrasp's written reviews are positive against 70% of YouLearn's.
Mindgrasp ships an update every 3 weeks, YouLearn every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
