About

DAKE

See how they're doing, at a glance. Chats, photos and plans stay on your two phones only. Need some me-time? Turn on Vanish mode. DAKE ("just" in Japanese — just you two) is a couple app made for the one person who matters. No sign-up, no email address. Just connect your two iPhones with a QR code and start. ■ 3 THINGS THAT MAKE DAKE DIFFERENT 1. Nothing stays on a server Your chats, photos, plans and places are stored only on your two devices. Delivery goes through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), but only data encrypted on your device is placed there, so no one but you two can read it — not even the makers of DAKE. Photos are removed from iCloud once they arrive. DAKE has no server at all. 2. Their "right now", at a glance Open the app and your partner's status is right at the top: what they're doing, how they feel, where they are, what they're listening to. You get a sense of each other without having to ask. 3. Vanish mode Some days you just need time alone. Turn on Vanish mode and your partner simply sees "Vanished" while status and location sharing take a break. Step away gently, without any awkwardness. ■ FEATURES • Home: your photo together, days since you started dating, partner's status, place, song and latest message • Chat: messages, photos, stickers and a "sorry" white flag • Map: secretly suggest places, likes, want to go / planned / been there, place search, location sharing • Calendar: shared plans and mood & health marks • Album: shared album, monthly highlights, "one year ago today", collages • Status & Vanish: what you're doing, social battery, wallet, Vanish mode • Now playing: share the song you're listening to with its cover, or send a song link from the share sheet • Anniversaries: dating anniversary, birthdays and more, with automatic countdowns • Questions for two: answer a daily question together • Split the bill: record who paid for dates and see who is ahead • Widgets: your days together, your partner's now, next plans and memories on the Home Screen and Lock Screen • Restore: switch phones and get your data back from your partner's device Languages: 日本語, English, 한국어, 繁體中文, ไทย, Español, Filipino, Bahasa Indonesia ■ PRICING All features are free for 30 days after you pair (no card needed). To keep going, choose Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime. Prices are shown in the App Store for your region. If one of you buys, both of you can use it. After the free period, you can still view your data and receive from your partner. Monthly and Yearly are auto-renewing subscriptions. They renew automatically at the same length and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Lifetime does not renew. ■ PRIVACY • Your data is stored only on your two devices • Only encrypted data passes through iCloud (CloudKit) for delivery (photos are removed once delivered) • No server; we collect no data • No ads • Location and photos are sent to your partner only when you choose to share them Terms of Use: https://note.com/alone555/n/n9d883f0db03e Privacy Policy: https://note.com/alone555/n/n9d883f0db03e DAKE requires two iPhones (one for each of you) signed in to iCloud.

Verdict

The call

Moji and DAKE are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Moji sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and DAKE sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
