I don't think we lost human connection. I think we built systems that suppress it. The most valuable thing in the world is still the same as it’s always been: people meeting people. That’s where everything comes from - ideas, relationships, opportunities, meaning. But look at what we use every day. Feeds. Metrics. Passive consumption. We’ve engineered a world where connection is secondary to attention. That’s backwards. So we started building something different. Ami is based on a simple belief: the right people, in the right place, at the right time 0 that’s what changes your life. When you’re in a room, traveling, in a park, at a restaurant, connections are everywhere. You are far more connected to the people around you than you realize. Social systems have solved every problem short of spatiality — the most important problem of all. These system require your location, and you build your own spatial graph out to activate it. Once you do, it feels like the world snaps into focus. Real-world interaction. Ami makes that more likely to happen. More often. More naturally. At scale. It’s not about going backwards. It’s about finally building technology that aligns with how life actually works. This is Ami. Welcome to the spatial network. Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ami at 85% against NOVA's 37%. Ami also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). NOVA's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 74) and chart position (#171 vs unranked). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Ami asks for nothing beyond the download.
Ami holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 74, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of NOVA's written reviews are positive against 85% of Ami's.
NOVA ships an update monthly, Ami every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
