Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: webPunk at 100% against NOVA's 37%. webPunk also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). NOVA's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 22). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and webPunk sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $69.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
webPunk holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of NOVA's written reviews are positive against 100% of webPunk's.
NOVA ships an update every 3 weeks, webPunk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
