At AspectAvy, our mission is to save lives from avalanches. Which is why we developed a whole new class of avalanche safety gear: preventive avalanche safety gear. AspectAvy Features: DYNAMIC SLOPE ANGLE SHADING This feature separates AspectAvy and makes us an avalanche safety tool. Our maps update slope angle shading in real-time based on the conditions you’re experiencing on the mountain. Even in airplane mode, we visualize the risk factor, helping to relieve decision fatigue, and giving you an objective picture of the risk level around your immediate location. LIVE AVALANCHE AND WEATHER FORECASTS We incorporate up-to-the-minute live avalanche and weather forecasts right into the app. The forecasts and maps are stored locally on your phone, meaning you have access to the most recent downladed information. Closing the gap between planning and touring, and ensuring you have the most updated forecast information available. INDUSTRY-LEADING LiDAR MAPPING Our rock-solid, fast-loading LiDAR maps are stored locally on your phone, meaning you’re not straining for a signal when decisions matter most. Accurate to 3-meter resolution, you’ll see the terrain and risk factor around your precise location. Giving you control of the slopes you ski, and putting peace of mind in your pocket. TRAILHEAD AND DROP-IN SAFETY CHECKS Our comprehensive and interactive safety checklists help ensure your preparedness, grounding your group in proper avalanche safety best practices. BUILT-IN SLOPE ANGLE METER Our built-in slope angle meter helps you verify slope angle so you know where to ski based on real-time risk levels. It also calculates the length of avalanche run-out zones, keeping you safe at the top of the slope, and the bottom when you’re traveling through avalanche terrain. ROUTE TRACKING AND SHARING Industry standard GPS route tracking shows exactly where your tour traveled, and makes it easy to share the route with everyone in your group. You can even see when and where you were close to avalanche danger, and where you avoided higher-risk terrain. DATA-DRIVEN SAFETY Our algorithm was built on decades of avalanche safety data. By harnessing this data, AspectAvy provides you with clear and precise route recommendations based on avalanche statistics. We pinpoint low-risk slopes – with risk levels akin to driving a car – empowering you to make informed choices with confidence, ensuring an exciting, yet safe backcountry skiing experience. About

18 Bogeys

Features

Your golf, on the course and off it. On the course: front, center and back of the green, and every hazard between you and it, on your Apple Watch — with the phone in your bag and no signal at all. Off it: your round history and an estimated index, guided range practice, each club's page, and the holes of a course to look over before you play it. 18 Bogeys is a golf GPS rangefinder for iPhone and Apple Watch. The distance comes first; everything else is optional, and all of it is free. ON THE COURSE Green front, center and back, measured from where you are standing. Every hazard ahead in the line of play, with two numbers each: how far to reach it and how far to carry it. Layup targets, and a tap on the map to measure any point on the hole. A pin you can drag to where the flag is today. Your tee, and yards or meters. THE WATCH WORKS ON ITS OWN The course lives on the watch. Start the round from your wrist, leave the phone in the cart, and the numbers do not change. With Apple Watch, each round is saved as a golf workout in Apple Health. 18 Bogeys never reads your health data. NO SIGNAL, NO PROBLEM The whole course is on the device before you tee off. It is not a cache that fades when the bars disappear: the data is simply there. IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT DOES NOT KNOW If a tee was never mapped or a green has no outline, the app says so instead of quietly measuring from somewhere nearby. A confident wrong number is worse than an admitted gap. IF YOU WANT MORE Record shots with one tap, from the watch or the iPhone, and get the scorecard they add up to. Round history, and an estimated index worked out on your phone from your own cards, with the method on screen. It is an estimate, not an official handicap. A club suggestion from the distances you actually hit. Friends, added in person with a QR code or with a link. They see your rounds and scores, never your position. Guided practice sessions for the range. Each club's page: hours, booking, directions and the club's own news. An account is optional, with Sign in with Apple. Without one, everything above except friends works, and your position never leaves the phone. THE COURSES 17 clubs in 5 countries — the United States, Chile, Spain, the United Kingdom and Italy — including 27-hole clubs, where you pick the two nines. Your course is not there? Find it in the list of all courses and tap Request; if you like, the app tells you when it is ready. Course geometry comes from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License 1.0, and the databases the app reads are published at 18bogeys.app. NOTHING IS SOLD TO YOU There is nothing to buy in the app. No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps. WHY 18 BOGEYS Eighteen bogeys is ninety strokes. This app is for the golfer who shoots 90: no coach, a couple of rounds a month. You will put one in the water on the 8th and you will laugh about it. We just tell you how far it was. In English and Spanish. iPhone and Apple Watch; there is no iPad app. Distances are approximate and do not replace the markers on the course.
