About

Building Swell

Features

Prefab sits between a factory and a job site. The assemblies change from project to project, and the dates move while the work is still on the floor. Building Swell is the production schedule for that work, with one live plan from detailing through delivery that your crew carries on their phones. Building Swell is your shop's system, and this app is how the crew uses it. Sign in with the account your company already has. Prefab shops repeat enough of the work to plan it, and enough of it changes that every week needs a fresh plan. Building Swell is built for that middle ground between a factory system and a construction tool. It plans the repeat work and keeps room for the one-off. Your crew opens the app and sees the same schedule the office sees. Packages, stations, and crews match the way your shop is set up. The week shows what's due, what's in progress, and what's ready to ship, so a foreman can run the day from the plan. Start with today. You see which assemblies are at which station, who's assigned to them, and what has to move for the ship date to hold. A status check takes a glance. On the floor, people update the work as they do it. Scan the QR code on a traveler, a location, or a person, and you land on the right job. Mark progress on the assembly, and the next person in line sees it right away, along with whoever's watching the week. When a drawing revises, a material date slips, or the field moves the delivery, you change the schedule and see which station backs up and which crew is open. The change goes on the plan where the whole shop can see it, and the rest of the week stays in front of you. Detailing, fabrication, and the field share that plan. Detailing sees what the shop is waiting for them to release. The shop sees what's cleared to build. The field sees what's finished and what's heading out. Every handoff lives on the schedule. You might be building multi-trade racks, wall panels, bath pods, structural steel, rebar cages, precast, duct, or a custom piece that has to meet the building. Routes can change from project to project. Repeat assemblies start from a template, and the one-off gets its own place on the schedule. You keep enough of the process standard to plan the week, and the variation stays visible. Shops of all sizes use Building Swell at one location or several, across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, sheet metal, glazing, and structural prefab. This app is for the foremen, shop leads, and field crews who keep those projects moving, and it keeps them on the current plan.
