SignPiP makes videos accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers by adding a sign-language interpreter โ right on screen. Paste a link to a lecture or talk you have the right to use, and SignPiP creates a new version of the video with a signing avatar in a picture-in-picture window. The speech is transcribed, translated into sign, and performed by an animated interpreter in the corner of the screen โ so you can watch the original video and follow the signing at the same time. BUILT FOR LEARNING Lectures, tutorials, and talks are often spoken-only. SignPiP means Deaf and hard-of-hearing students no longer have to choose between watching the content and reading captions: the sign appears alongside the video, the way a live interpreter would. WHAT YOU CAN DO โข Turn videos you have the right to use into sign-language picture-in-picture versions โข Watch in Chinese Sign Language (CSL) or American Sign Language (ASL) โ one is included free, chosen to match your device language; the second can be added with a one-time in-app purchase (not a subscription) โข Choose where the interpreter sits and how transparent the overlay is โข Save the signed video to your device โข Review and correct the signing โ fix a word and re-render for a more accurate result HOW IT WORKS SignPiP listens to the video's audio, writes out what is said, and drives a 3-D avatar to sign it. Everything is assembled into a single video you can play or download. Made with, and for, the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community โ because everyone deserves the same access to video.
