In addition, you can unlock advanced features in the app if you need them: learning and social features. More information at the end of this description. Type any text and it will be automatically encoded into a full-screen flashing effect of the corresponding Morse code. The flashlight of your device is also used. Your "SOS" messages will be seen quite far away! Some sound will also be played accordingly. In detailed mode, the encoded text will scroll during the decoding process. Tap some Morse code on the screen and the program will translate it into some text. Several input types are supported: Novice, Straight Key, Memory Paddle, Iambic Paddle (A and B), Microphone. Left and right handed modes are supported. Test and improve your skills: are you good enough to be understood? Create Morse code audio files from a given text (or variables). Use these files as you like: listen to them to train your decoding skills or use them as ringtones for your mobile phone. Create beautiful abstract wallpapers for your device (or posters to be printed) by customizing the display of the dashes and dots of the sentence you like. Exclusive feature that allows you to decode in real time the Morse code recorded by the microphone into text (note: the sound must be quite clear/loud and without much noise). Some automatic calibration is performed, allowing adaptation to speed, tone and volume changes. The full Morse alphabet (including prosigns) can also be viewed and the associated Morse code can be played. Tapped and decoded text can be edited and exported to clipboard, in-app email and SMS. A special screen allows textual conversion of Morse code and text. Exchange encrypted messages with your friends. Wikipedia and Visual Mnemonic screens to get information and mnemonics about Morse code. You can also add your own websites for in-app consultation. Preparation To use the RS-MS1I with a supported transceiver, you need an optional Bluetooth unit. See your transceiver’s instruction manual for details. Transceiver’s settings Set the following functions as shown below to use the RS-MS1I. [Function] > [CI-V] > [CI-V Transceive]: ON [Bluetooth Set] > [Data Device Set] > [Serial Port Function]: CI-V (Echo back OFF) Note: - The RS-MS1I may not work with all iPhones or iPads, even if they are one of the tested devices. This is because an application program on your device may conflict with the RS-MS1I. - The RS-MS1I may not be used, depending on the OS version, installed application, and so on. - Bluetooth LE is used for the connection with the transceiver, so there may be a time delay between the transceiver’s operation and the display on the iPhone or iPad. - When sending or receiving pictures using “FAST mode,” the headset audio will be temporarily interrupted because of the transceiver’s Bluetooth unit limitations. - You may need to connect to the Internet through a Wireless LAN, an LTE network or a 5G network for some functions. - The RS-MS1I supports only portrait orientation with the iPhone. It does not support Auto Rotate. However, landscape orientation and Auto Rotate are supported with the iPad.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Morse at 90% against RS's 15%. Morse also leads on rating (4.7 vs 1.9) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 8 months). RS's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
