Daily Scripture is an aid for daily prayer and meditation on the Scriptures. The app also has a daily resource, such as a reading selection from a Christian book. In addition, the app provides functionality to browse more than 300 meditation archives, bookmark meditations and reading selections for later reference and access a rich selection of resource materials on Bible study and several other Christian topics. Daily Scripture also allows you to set a daily alarm to remind you to read the meditation. The daily meditations displayed in the app are also available online at www.dailyscripture.net.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Daily Scripture at none against Catholic Calendar's 10. Daily Scripture also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Catholic Calendar's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (916 vs 42). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
