Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: IT Tools at 4.3 against DMXDIPster's 1.0. IT Tools also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 1). DMXDIPster's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $5.99). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

IT Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IT Tools has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of DMXDIPster's written reviews are positive against 93% of IT Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DMXDIPster ships an update every 26 months, IT Tools every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
