Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Target at 4.9 against Dollar Tree's 3.2. Target also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 20%) and ratings volume (7M vs 488). Dollar Tree's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Target holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Target has 7M ratings behind it against 488, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Target's written reviews are positive against 20% of Dollar Tree's.
Target ships an update weekly, Dollar Tree fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
