Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: CleverJazz at Free against iReal Pro's $21.99. CleverJazz also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). iReal Pro's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (11K vs 5). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

CleverJazz is free to download; iReal Pro costs $21.99 up front. iReal Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and CleverJazz sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

iReal Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iReal Pro has 11K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of iReal Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of CleverJazz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

iReal Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, CleverJazz weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
