Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Armasight at 4.4 against Ballistic's 1.0. Armasight also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15). Ballistic's advantage is ratings volume (54 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ballistic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Armasight asks for nothing beyond the download.
Armasight holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ballistic has 54 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Ballistic's written reviews are positive against 50% of Armasight's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
