Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RemoteBoot WOL at none against Off's 3. RemoteBoot WOL also leads on review sentiment (73% vs 52%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Off's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Off sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. RemoteBoot WOL asks for nothing beyond the download.
Off holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Off has 498 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of RemoteBoot WOL's written reviews are positive against 52% of Off's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
RemoteBoot WOL ships an update every 11 months, Off every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
