Dominate is a logic puzzle that uses a standard 'double six' set of 28 dominoes. The puzzle board represents all of the 28 dominoes from 0:0 to 6:6 placed next to each other in a 7 by 8 grid. The problem is, you can't see which squares join to which others to form the dominoes. Your task is find those links, by applying logic to determine a layout for the entire board such that each domino is used only once. FEATURES: + Auto-generated boards + An almost limitless number of puzzles + Inbuilt solver provides hints and a target time to beat + Full tutorial to help you learn the game + Tracks your progress, keeping puzzles challenging + Pause the game to easily see your progress TIMING & HINTS: Dominate rates each puzzle it generates to give you a target time, the faster you are the higher your score. If you're stuck you can ask for a hint, but the better you get, the more hints will cost you. If all you want to do is solve puzzles and you don't care how long it takes, that's cool, you will still be able take advantage of the virtually limitless number of puzzles in the game. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Dominate at 4.7 against Monorail's 3.9. Dominate also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Monorail's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (851 vs 7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monorail sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Dominate asks for nothing beyond the download.
Dominate holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monorail has 851 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Dominate's written reviews are positive against 95% of Monorail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Dominate ships an update every 19 months, Monorail every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
