Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Christmas Countdown at 4.6 against Santa Tracker's 4.1. Christmas Countdown also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). Santa Tracker's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
