Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Flickr at 4.5 against Delayed Camera's 4.0. Flickr also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 4). Delayed Camera's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (80% vs 70%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flickr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month. Delayed Camera asks for nothing beyond the download.
Flickr holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flickr has 15K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Flickr's written reviews are positive against 80% of Delayed Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Flickr ships an update every 2 weeks, Delayed Camera every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
