No Group Posting, Low Resolution

I’ve been frustrated with the latest update of the app.
Formerly, I was able to post photos to groups easily, but now it takes ages if I try to do so.
In addition, when I download my own photos, resolutions are really low.
Before the update, I enjoyed using this app, so please get back the quality back.

Terrible Update!

Both viewing & downloading photo are super low resolution! I can no longer download videos! Just the thumbnail pic of the video is saved. What happened to this app?????

New UI sucks so hard

Seriously there’s like two things that are over but functionally it’s WAY worse

Flickr

All types of photos gives us amateurs a lot of ideas

Update ruined it

Downloading photos now saves no embedded data and forces the lowest possible resolution. Scrolling/swiping through searches no longer works. Won't be using until these are fixed.

Latest update

Only limited uploads of my photostream available last 2 years , lost a client & earning potential , way to go flickr, you going to compensate me for loss of earnings,NO thought not, does not upload in order selected on iphone

Latest update is horrible

Flickr user for more than a decade. It was never “fancy” but it was rock solid, the images looked good on screen, and it did what it I needed it to do. But with the latest update this all changed (on iOS). The images are fuzzy, pieces of the functionality are missing, it is not user friendly, and is a huge disappointment. Reading other reviews it seems the update was a big miss. Hope it is corrected soon or I will be moving on.

No more photo editing!

I have been using this app for over 10 years and used it to edit my pictures since I can’t do it on the website because my pictures are too large. This is beyond disappointing. I don’t understand why you would remove this feature that many users use. Please bring it back!

New update is horrible

Worst layout and functionality I’ve seen for a photo app. What are they thinking?

Great application

Love the new look, but it seems that someone is signing me out for a laugh which means that I must sign back in and this behaviour won’t be tolerated.

Terrible update

Less than five minutes in and I’ve already found several severe downgrades and outright bugs. Photo thumbnails are too small in Camera Roll and I haven’t found a way to adjust. After tapping on a photo in Camera Roll, photos frequently do not size properly; either they display at smaller than full screen, or they show at 100% and pinch-to-zoom will not resize to fit on screen. This is probably linked to the extraordinarily glitchy behavior when rotating the iPad from portrait to landscape and back (screenshots available on request). After opening a photo from Camera Roll, you cannot scroll between photos. This isn’t even beta quality software; it should never have been released.

Latest update is horrible

Hate that the notifications don’t reset. The Flickr stream on the app is awful. Can’t see all of a caption. Can’t add to groups. All around horrible.

Latest Update is Terrible

As a professional photographer, I want to be able to download high resolution photos that I saved in Flickr, but this latest version only gives me the option to download low res images.

I would also like to go back to view the images as squares in a grid, so I can quickly locate what I am looking for in a large photo collection.

lost functions

The newest version and brand new user interface has left behind a few options like sharing a photo from the Photos app or the iCloud drive in iOS; now this can only be done from a browser; it has also separated the user’s and following (previously known as feed) so the notification area is not associated with the user’s screen; hopefully these will be ironed out in future updates :)

Images are not full screen

Hello. I just have a small complaint about the new style of the app. Previously I could view images in full screen on my iPad, but now I no longer can. It seems the UI space is preventing it.

Now Completely Useless For Photography

Application will not let you download full resolution copies OF YOUR OWN PHOTOS.

What seems a very impressive redesign causes frustration

Long overdue redesign that brings Flickr into the modern age. Only thing I can see as an issue to address is how to add a photo to groups. There isn’t the option as part of the upload.
Update: I didn’t realise how important the add to group during upload was. Also my timeline is not chronological and zoom loses resolution. As a consequence I have deleted the app and use the web interface.
Naughty Flickr have removed the upload button via iOS safari so you have to fudge work arounds. As a result- 1 star.

Why?

Worst “upgrade” possible
I’m not white who created this new app but I assume they’re fired by now.

It’s totally unusable. You have “notifications” but it won’t let you click on comments to actually read the comment…. You’re notified of group invites, but can’t see what they are … still no access to the DMs The sluggish group view is horrible.

For some reason it assumes we’re blind so each “notification” is written in huge font size that tells you very little.

Oh. Yeah. And I turned on the “app” and it showed 8 notifications. Went to the web version and it has 27 notifications?? !?!

This app should have been tested first but with all things Flickr, Act first and think later.
