Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Hearts Plus at 4.7 against Master Whist's 3.5. Hearts Plus also leads on ratings volume (412 vs 2). Master Whist's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Hearts Plus costs $2.99 and Master Whist $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Hearts Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearts Plus has 412 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Hearts Plus's written reviews are positive against 100% of Master Whist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Hearts Plus ships an update every 4 months, Master Whist every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
