Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: MTG Trades at none against AppTicker Wish's shown. MTG Trades also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). AppTicker Wish's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (83% vs 61%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. AppTicker Wish sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and MTG Trades sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
MTG Trades holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTG Trades has 1.1K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of AppTicker Wish's written reviews are positive against 61% of MTG Trades's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AppTicker Wish ships an update every 9 days, MTG Trades every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
