**A Top Downloaded Medical App - Over 500,000 Installs** Eye Chart Pro is a clinically-reviewed, randomizable visual acuity exam. It’s remote-controlled, pleasant for patients and providers, and FREE. Similar chart projector functionality usually costs over $1000. Check out the last screenshot to see more information on the clinical reviews in peer-reviewed publications and their conclusions. Useful for: - Triaging - House visits - Patients who have memorized the office chart Features: - Randomizable Snellen Chart - Randomizable Tumbling E Chart - Randomize the whole chart or one line at a time - Smooth interface with animations - Basic remote - Metric / Feet functionality Description: Eye Chart Pro is a generator for randomized Snellen and Tumbling E charts to offer a rough but useful screen of visual acuity. Simply press a button to randomize the entire eye chart, or touch an individual line of the chart to randomize that line. Tap another button to toggle between Snellen and Tumbling E charts. Eye care professionals around the world use Snellen Eye Charts to measure visual acuity. However, patients often memorize the classic Snellen chart, leading to less accurate vision measurements. Enter Eye Chart Pro! Though this unique, notebook sized randomizable eye chart should not be used as a primary visual acuity measuring tool, it can provide a handy rough vision screen when a chart is not available, or it can be used to complement static, wall-based Snellen charts. Eye Chart Pro was made with the best of intentions, and we hope to continue improving it. Your feedback is appreciated! Here is a summary of clinical evaluations we have found: ETDRS Chart on Eye Chart Pro on iPad: “Validation of the visual acuity iPad app Eye Chart Pro compared to the standard Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study chart in a low-vision population” Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare. Conclusion (summary quote): “The ETDRS chart function on the Eye Chart Pro application can reliably measure VA across a range, from normally sighted patients to those with low vision.” Sloan Chart on Eye Chart Pro on iPad: “The validity of visual acuity assessment using mobile technology devices in the primary care setting.” Australian Family Physician. Conclusion (summary quote): “The high level of agreement of visual acuity results between the Snellen wall chart and both mobile technology devices suggests that clinicians can use this technology with confidence in the primary care setting.” Tumbling E Chart on Eye Chart Pro on iPad: “A Pilot Trial of the Ipad Tablet Computer as a Portable Device for Visual Acuity Testing” Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare. Conclusion (summary quote): “Bland-Altman analysis revealed a mean difference (bias) of 0.02 logMAR units between the VA results from the iPad chart and the light-box chart, with 95% limits of agreement of -0.14 to 0.19.” We are not responsible for the above studies, so please check out the papers above if you have further questions.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS A LEGACY VERSION OF THE NIH TOOLBOX SYSTEM AND WILL BE RETIRED IN JUNE 2028. New users are strongly encouraged to download the NIH Toolbox V3 app instead of this legacy version: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nih-toolbox-v3-en-espa%C3%B1ol/id6476326376. Users whose studies end after June 2028 must plan to transition to the NIH Toolbox V3 app before then. The annual subscription cost of this app will increase each year through its retirement. *** Important Hardware Note: iPads (2018 and newer models) with 9.7- to 11-inch screens are recommended. Data collected on iPads with 12.9" screens has not yet been validated. *** NIH Toolbox is a multidimensional set of performance and person-report measures that assess cognitive, sensory, motor, and emotional function in people ages 3-85, designed for research and clinical use (see www.NIHToolbox.org). NIH Toolbox was developed by more than 250 scientists over 6 years and sponsored by the 15 institutes of the National Institutes for Health that make up the NIH Neuroscience Blueprint. NIH Toolbox includes over 200 measures, for stand-alone use or as part of a complete assessment battery. With the advent of the NIH Toolbox, researchers can now assess function using a common metric and can “crosswalk” among measures, essential to the process of pooling data and often necessary when a large and diverse sample is needed. This version contains the Spanish-only version of the measures. With the purchase of this app, you will also have access to the PROMIS® measurement system funded by the National Institutes of Health. NIH Toolbox does not require a subscription for many features; however, a subscription is required to record assessment responses and to view and export results. Subscriptions are offered for purchase within the app for use on up to 10 iPads. Purchased subscriptions will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Cancellation of the current (paid) subscription is subject to Apple’s discretion. Users can enjoy a free trial period to explore the NIH Toolbox app, but data will not be saved and results will not be generated during the free trial. The free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription. Manage your subscription by going to your Apple Account Settings after purchase. All content needed to administer NIH Toolbox tests is available in the app, though some tests require additional hardware or materials. Please create a free account at www.NIHToolbox.org to access the Administration and Technical Manuals, supplemental materials, and list of publications. With the purchase of this app, you will immediately have access to tests in the Emotion, Motor, and Sensation domains. Tests in the Cognition domain require the successful completion of a separate approval on www.NIHToolbox.org. This approval process is included in the cost of the subscription; no additional purchase is necessary. Generally, approval will be granted to researchers and clinicians with the knowledge and training to use neuropsychological tests. Contact help@nihtoolbox.org for more details. Important information about the intended use and data security: * NIH Toolbox is not intended for use outside of research or clinical application. * Users control how data is managed. Data export via iCloud, email, and File Sharing can be enabled/disabled in the app. * Data exports (.csv format) and assessment reports (.PDF format) may be emailed from NIH Toolbox.
