Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Armor Stride at 5.0 against Death Knight's 4.3. Armor Stride also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). Death Knight's advantage is ratings volume (157 vs 6) and iOS requirement (3.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Death Knight sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Armor Stride sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Armor Stride holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Death Knight has 157 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Death Knight's written reviews are positive against 100% of Armor Stride's.
Death Knight ships an update every 2 months, Armor Stride fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
