Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Math Makers at 4.7 against MathTappers's 3.4. Math Makers also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 61 months) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 118). MathTappers's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 16). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Math Makers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Makers has 2.9K ratings behind it against 118, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of MathTappers's written reviews are positive against 66% of Math Makers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

MathTappers ships an update every 61 months, Math Makers every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
