Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: Globe2Go Print Replica Edition at every 4 months against Canada Press's every 12 months. Globe2Go Print Replica Edition also leads on ratings volume (456 vs 55). Canada Press's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Globe2Go Print Replica Edition sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Canada Press sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Globe2Go Print Replica Edition against 4.6 for Canada Press. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Globe2Go Print Replica Edition has 456 ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 60% and 59% positive.
Globe2Go Print Replica Edition ships an update every 4 months, Canada Press every 12 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
