Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Plurk at 4.7 against FC2 Blog's 4.2. Plurk also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (542 vs 12). FC2 Blog's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
