Verdict
Mirror ◎ and AARP Now both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 46% of Mirror ◎'s written reviews are positive against 28% of AARP Now's. Mirror ◎ also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). AARP Now's advantage is chart position (#111 vs unranked). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Mirror ◎ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AARP Now sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
AARP Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 196K and 184K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Mirror ◎'s written reviews are positive against 28% of AARP Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Mirror ◎ ships an update every 3 weeks, AARP Now every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
