The app has four tabs: Decisions, Judges, Favorites, and Settings. The Decisions tab lists all Second Circuit decisions since April 4, 2007, to the present. You can filter by year or a year range; published opinion versus summary order; civil versus criminal; author; the entity from which the appeal originates; and, if the appeal is taken from a district court, the judge below. Clicking on a case brings up a page that lists relevant information. You can also view the slip opinion version of the decision in PDF form. The Judges tab lists the current composition of the court and links to each judge's Wikipedia page. Favoriting a case brings it to the Favorites tab. Finally, Settings allows you to control your Download preferences. If you prefer, you can download all 30-thousand-plus decisions to your phone (approx. 3GB). Doing so will also automatically download new decisions when they are released by the Court. Decisions from 2020-on will have AI-generated summaries.
