DCircuit Lab is a tool to simulate combinatorial and sequential digital circuits. Circuits can be simulated in two ways: 1) one single step: all the outputs values are evaluated at the same time 2) step by step: outputs and gates are evaluated one step a time If circuit contains clock inputs, its simulation is dynamic. This means that outputs change accordingly to the clocks. During this dynamic simulation, user can change inputs values to study the circuit behavior which is also provided via a timing chart. Circuits are built using basic components, gates and flip-flops: * inputs (three state: 1, 0, X - undefined) * outputs * wires * NOT, AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR gates with any number of inputs * Flip-flop RS, JK, T, D (Positive or Negative Edge Triggered and with Set and Reset Inputs) * Multiplexers with any number of inputs * Demultiplexers with any number of outputs * Fully configurable Clocks * Custom Components defined by their truth table * BCD to 7 Segments Display Decoder * 7 Segments Display Some video tutorials are available directly from the application to learn how to use it.

The easy and fastest way to analyze the 2D-Truss problem right on your iPhone & iPod Touch. Featuring: • Standard Truss Templates: with the standard truss template (18 types of truss for initial version) , you can easily create and config your truss as required. • "Custom Truss"; If the built-in standard truss template doesn't match your requirement, "Custom" your own Truss is also easy to create due to the Node & Element generating features. • Unit Flexibility: very flexible in Units system, you can choose any units at your convenience without the requirement to restart the application and the unit system is saved per your truss's project. For example you use m. as node coordinations while you choose mm. for the deflection of the nodes or you can even choose in. or ft. for nodes's deflection (if you really need). • Buit-in material sections library where you can adjust any material's properties with no effect to other truss project. The options to create your own material library will be available for the next update. • PDF Reporting: All result information of your truss are shown in PDF and also you can email this result.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: DCircuit Lab at 3.0 against A's 2.3. DCircuit Lab also leads on price ($3.99 vs $4.99). A's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months) and review sentiment (26% vs 11%). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

DCircuit Lab costs $3.99 and A $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

DCircuit Lab holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of DCircuit Lab's written reviews are positive against 26% of A's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DCircuit Lab ships an update every 10 months, A every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
