Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: YTN 라디오 at 3.6 against MBC 뉴스's 2.2. MBC 뉴스's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
YTN 라디오 holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of MBC 뉴스's written reviews are positive against 41% of YTN 라디오's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MBC 뉴스 ships an update every 2 months, YTN 라디오 every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
