About

Languido

Features

Languido is a live interpreter and language tutor that runs on your iPhone — even in airplane mode. Most translators translate sentences. Languido understands conversations. It listens to the room, works out who is speaking which language, translates with the whole conversation as context, and can whisper the translation straight into your AirPods. THREE WAYS TO TRANSLATE • Conversation — face-to-face, two languages, no passing the phone back and forth. Languido works out who spoke. Chat-bubble transcript, spoken translations and one-tap reply suggestions in the other language. • Listen — dinners, meetings, tours. On-device speaker recognition gives every voice a stable colour and a name you can edit, and keeps up when people talk over each other. • Text — type or paste text to translate it. Camera translation helps with menus and signs, and a phrasebook keeps survival phrases close at hand. BUILT FOR UNDERSTANDING • Context-aware refinement: an instant draft appears immediately, then an AI pass re-translates using the conversation history, the register (friend, stranger, official) and the scenario (pharmacy, taxi, market…). The bubble upgrades in place. • Back-translation check — see exactly what they will hear before you speak. • Catch-me-up summaries, pinned key facts such as prices and times, idioms decoded, and cultural phrasing warnings. • Romanization (pinyin, romaji), a “say it slowly” button, and big digits for the numbers you can’t afford to mishear. • AirPods interpreter mode: the phone listens to the room, the translation is spoken quietly in your ear, and it pauses the moment someone starts talking. LEARN, PROPERLY • Hand-crafted courses from A1 to C1 — grammar notes that read like a friend explaining, exercises with instant feedback, and every new word spoken aloud with pronunciation notes. • Streaks, XP, a placement quiz, and speaking, writing and mock exams with IELTS-style band estimates. • Stories to listen and read along with, an AI tutor you can ask anything, and spaced-repetition flashcards for the words you save while translating. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Choose from 46 translation languages. Supported speech and translation packs work on-device after downloading. Availability varies by language and device; additional cloud speech and translation paths require internet, your consent and credits. • Saving is off by default. Keep transcripts in memory, or explicitly save conversations and optional original audio on iPhone. Delete saved items in Saved conversations. Languido does not upload or sync archives; device backups follow your iOS settings. • Translation, learning and purchases are available without registration. Cloud features use credits, including credits bought as a guest. APPLE WATCH COMPANION Choose Watch microphone or iPhone microphone for continuous translation. Start and Stop from your wrist after completing setup on iPhone. Read is on and Hear is off by default; choose text, spoken output, or both. Watch microphone audio streams to the paired iPhone, with spoken translations played on Watch. iPhone microphone sessions play through the iPhone speaker or headphones. The nearby paired iPhone handles recognition and translation using installed packs or permitted cloud settings. Before using the iPhone microphone, optionally save the conversation and separately include original audio; saved items stay on iPhone. Watch transcripts remain in memory. Cloud features require consent, internet and credits. Speech, voices and offline availability vary by language and device. Requires watchOS 11 and iPhone iOS 26. Requires an iPhone running iOS 26. Where available, Apple’s speech and translation packs download when needed (they don’t count against the app’s size). Languido explains additional downloads before you approve them.
