WHAT IS DOWN THE MIDDLE? Down The Middle is a golf handicap app built for the amateur golfer who wants a handicap they can finally live up to. Traditional handicap formulas are designed to make your handicap as low as possible by cherry-picking your best rounds. The result? An unrealistic expectation of your typical performance and a number that puts pressure on you every time you tee it up. Down The Middle takes a different approach: A TRUER GOLF HANDICAP Down The Middle uses every round you play, not just your best ones — and we input them into a proprietary, statistically weighted formula that accounts for recency, course difficulty, and historical playing tendencies. The result is a handicap that actually reflects how you typically play golf. TRACK EVERY ROUND Post your round in seconds from over 40,000 golf courses in our database. Select the tees you played and the course rating and slope populate automatically. Also view the full details of every round you play via the round detail card. And unlike other handicap services, your handicap updates instantly after every round you post. ANALYTICS Dive deeper into your round history and see important stats such as your all-time lowest score, lowest handicap achieved, scoring average and how often you outplay your handicap. Also visualize your playing trends with a trailing twelve month chart. CONNECT WITH FRIENDS Follow your friends in the playing partners tab and track their handicap ups and downs, recent round activity, and hot and cold streaks — all in one place in the News Feed. MEMBERSHIP Down The Middle is $49.99 per year. No hidden fees or gimmicks — just a truer golf handicap.
