Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Evolution Hair Design at none against myGMC's shown. Evolution Hair Design also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). myGMC's advantage is ratings volume (440K vs 9) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for myGMC against 4.8 for Evolution Hair Design. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: myGMC has 440K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
myGMC ships an update fortnightly, Evolution Hair Design every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
