Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Keep Contacts at 5.0 against Donut Call's 4.3. Keep Contacts also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 94 months). Donut Call's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1) and review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Keep Contacts holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Donut Call has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Keep Contacts's written reviews are positive against 60% of Donut Call's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Keep Contacts ships an update every 6 weeks, Donut Call every 94 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
