Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: UniFi Verify at Free against Projectionist's $5.99. UniFi Verify also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (12K vs 3). Projectionist's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 34%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

UniFi Verify is free to download; Projectionist costs $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

UniFi Verify holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniFi Verify has 12K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Projectionist's written reviews are positive against 34% of UniFi Verify's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Projectionist ships an update monthly, UniFi Verify every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
