Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: MapPath Pro at $1.99 against Speed Tracker. Pro's $19.99. MapPath Pro also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 66%). Speed Tracker. Pro's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 4). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Speed Tracker. Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Tracker. Pro has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Speed Tracker. Pro's written reviews are positive against 77% of MapPath Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
