Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Alarm Clock' at 36K against Simple_Clock's 147. Simple_Clock's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Alarm Clock' sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Simple_Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Alarm Clock' against 4.7 for Simple_Clock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock' has 36K ratings behind it against 147, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of Alarm Clock''s written reviews are positive against 71% of Simple_Clock's.
Alarm Clock' ships an update every 3 weeks, Simple_Clock weekly. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
