Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: My Apollo at 5.0 against SkiStar's 4.3. SkiStar's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (23 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
My Apollo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SkiStar has 23 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
SkiStar ships an update fortnightly, My Apollo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
