Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: 日劇新番組 at 56% against KORTV's 12%. 日劇新番組 also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). KORTV's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KORTV sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. 日劇新番組 asks for nothing beyond the download.
KORTV holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KORTV has 393 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of 日劇新番組's written reviews are positive against 12% of KORTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
日劇新番組 ships an update every 3 months, KORTV every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
