Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Mnet Plus at 2.2 against 日劇新番組's 1.0. Mnet Plus also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 1). 日劇新番組's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 19%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mnet Plus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. 日劇新番組 asks for nothing beyond the download.
Mnet Plus holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mnet Plus has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of 日劇新番組's written reviews are positive against 19% of Mnet Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
日劇新番組 ships an update every 3 months, Mnet Plus every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
